ABOUT US:

Laura Rose Laura is your host, and the Founder of Doubtless Bay Retreat. She is also a Naturopath, Nutritionist, Medical Herbalist and Personal Trainer. Laura founded Doubtless Bay Retreat in 2020, from her home in Coopers Beach, in the Far North of New Zealand. Fuelled by the burning desire to work with larger groups of people, so that her time could impact more lives. She feels truly inspired and honoured to assist others in achieving optimal health and full life potential. Laura designs and prepares the menu for each retreat around nutrient dense seasonal ingredients, and aims to showcase locally sourced foods wherever she can. She also forages for herbs and edible seaweeds when possible. She loves to share her passion and knowledge of all things food with the retreat participants. She believes the connections made over food, whether growing, preparing, cooking or eating, is where the foundation of optimal health begins.

Joanne Rome Jo has over 15 years of experience in Massage Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Complementary Therapies. She has extensive experience in the natural health industry and has worked alongside many other health practitioners, including fitness instructors and physiotherapists to create personalised programs for individual clients. Since moving to New Zealand 10 years ago, she gained a Teaching Certificate in Iyengar Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is a system of yoga devised to use equipment and anatomy knowledge to apply alignment and understanding during the yoga poses for each individual, creating a more therapeutic and safe way to practice yoga.

Giulia Mattioli

I'm passionate about contributing to people's wellbeing by sharing my love for Cacao, and various holistic practices such as Yoga, Meditation, Shamanism, Sound, and Conscious Communication.

My spiritual journey started after moving from Italy to Scotland, where I started to get closer to yoga and its principles.

After taking part in a Shamanic retreat, I decided to follow my intuition and walk the “Camino de Santiago, in Spain; once finishing it I decided to start traveling the world.

To develop a deeper understanding of the yoga philosophy, I gained a 200hrs YTT in the South of India, Kerala. This amazing experience taught me to live in harmony with myself, and my surroundings, and how important it is to share this knowledge with everyone.

This self-love journey took me to discover Bali where I got my Reiki Level 1 & 2 and New Zealand, where I started teaching Yoga in some retreat centers in the North and South Islands.

This land supported me to deepen my connection with Nature and to discover Cacao in its full potential.

From a young age I have always had a love affair with Cacao, but never fully understood why, as everyone around me just saw it as chocolate. The Universe worked its power and through Laura & Michelle, I found my way to The Cacao Ambassador.

Magic truly happened.

I love weaving all those practices together to assist people’s personal development, and thank you to my training in NVC (Conscious Communication) I found a way to reach people’s heart that feels inspiring and authentic.

Belinda Ehrlenbach

I am originally from Munich, Germany

I came to NZ in 1993 and settled in Raglan, Waikato for 27 years, moved to Northland in 2020 and live in Kaeo now

I enjoyed running our small backpacker accommodation in Raglan for 16 years.

In 2009 I graduated from Wintec / Hamilton with a diploma for Natural Therapies and opened my home based clinic in the same year. Treatments ranged from nutritional to herbal medicine and a range of neuromuscular techniques.

In 2015 I completed my yoga teacher training in Ubud / Bali

My bodywork treatments include remedial, deep, relaxation and pregnancy massage. I also offer lymphatic drainage / activation and balanced ligamentous releases.

I love being outdoors and spend a lot of my free time in nature, especially in and around rivers and sea.

“This weekend was such a journey...a journey of love, acceptance and belonging. I felt united with Pachamama, it was like I was melting into the earth, feeling its embrace, blending in and completely surrendering in the process, I wasn't me any longer as I was a part of something much bigger and beautiful. Such a powerful journey!”

As challenging as it was, the Temazcal was so amazing!!!!  Antonio's expertise, his strong energy and guidance provided a feeling of safety and reassurance. Clearly I wasn't the only one feeling supported, and comfortable stepping into this new experience outside my 'comfort zone' without knowing how uncomfortable it was going to get.
Also the support that came through from our beautiful mother earth, such a deep connection with Papatuanuku like I had never felt before.  This was extremely grounding while also providing a sense of lightness, elation, peace and contentedness.
